Hiya all,
Me & wasps just don't seem to get on, this swine kept havin a go at me every time I got close.
It seemed to be pulping the fence timber for its nest, you can just see the strips that he'd chomped on, one is by its foot & the other is right in front of his or her head, I was damned if I was getting any nearer, my old body doesn't like being stung!!!!
Cheers for now
Mark

Good shot considering the pressure you were under! Not worth getting stung in the face if subject seems hostile.

Hiya RM,
It's a shame I wasn't videoed trying to capture it cause i was hopping round on the only good leg I got tryin not to get stung & also not falling in my pond, since taking up this Macro I seem to have spent most of my time avoiding getting stung, bitten, falling into my pond & avoiding the men in white coats if you know what I mean, lol.
Cheers for now
Mark

Bandit, I sympathise. I get out in the latest 'find' of a wildlife site only to find the only wildlife around are those horrible biting dun flies. Or get down to snap a nice butterfly only to find I've dropped my arm on a stinging nettle. Leave the wasp. If it's belligerent now, it will only get worse as the summer runs into autumn. :D

Hiya Brian,
Thanks for your comments Brian, thats what attracted me to it, believe it or not I was hiding in my Honeysuckle & Clematis waiting for something to come along at the time, I'm now trying to capture something that looks like a Hornet at the mo but am being very cautious lol.
Cheers for now
Mark
