I've only found two mentions of BSP on the forum and I was wondering if anyone has used them and what they think of them? Their prices are lower than B&H, Beachcamera, Adorama....but not too crazy low, bait and switch camera shop low. They have a perfect 10.0 on resellerratings but I'm still skeptical. On the site http://www.bluestripephoto.com …info.php?products_id=2152 (external link)

they have a 5d that comes with an 18-55mm kit lens!! Last time I checked EF-S lenses don't mount on a EF only 5d body. I sent them a message playing dumb, asking how well that lens works with a 5d, i'll post when/if I get a resonse.

So yeah, any personal experiences would be awesome, thanks.

No EF-S lenses will not work on a 5D.

Badger Graphic has a pretty good price on the 5D body right now.

Not the most pro looking site, but they won't do you wrong. They have been a pleasure to deal with. I got my 24-105L from them for I think it was $1095.

LOWER than B&H? Are you SURE?

Your Blue Strip Photo price is a bit higher than B&H also.

B&H is $280 LESS than BSP after rebate ($2580 vs $2860), unless I am missing something. Yeah there are lenses with the BSP one, but will they work? I think not. Is BSP selling gray market? Etc.....

you're missing the point of my post I think. I'm not interesting in buying the kit with the wrong lens in it, i was merely using that as an example of them having something wrong. As for the cheaper price you didn't compare it correctly. 2580 is after rebate, the 2860 isn't, once you take off the 300 MIR it's 2560 which is slightly cheaper, just like a few of the EF lenses, 20-60 cheaper times the body and three lenses and that's some savings.

Here, read the Price After Rebate part from the BSP site you posted a link to:

Canon EOS 5D w/Canon 18-55 & Canon 55-200
Special Sale Price: $3,189.00 $3,159.99
Rebate Available $300.00
Price After Rebate $2,859.99
Availability : In Stock
Condition : New

Looks to me like my $2860 is correct. Sorry about missing your point though. I wouldn't buy from a dealer who can't figure out the lenses won't work, or ones that lie about features and such. Look at the ads in the back of Outdoor Photography and you will see all kinds of "errors" about features and such.

I misspoke I believe, I was speaking about the 5d body, just the body, which is 2749, plus the 300 MIR for an after rebate total of 2449 http://www.bluestripephoto.com …info.php?products_id=2271 (external link)

Okay, that is better. I'd still rather pay the small difference ($130 on a $2500 camera is small) more and buy from B&H in this case, over other places that need some asking and research and thinking to find out if they are a decent reseller or not. Just my thought. If you could save 10% or more, then it becomes a lesser gamble. Still a gamble though.

I too was a bit sceptical  before buying the camera from BlueStripePhoto...
especially after having a very bad experience with OneClickDigital  ...
but these guys were thorough proffessionals  ....

I bought canon S2 IS and the deal was one of the best available then....
it shipped in an excellent manner, in excellent condition and before time  ....

The helpline was superb and all doubts were handled with utmost patience and precision....:)

I would rate it 5.0/5.0....

The praise is a bit effusive, which makes me all the more suspicious.

Sorry, that's just my cynical nature.
