Had two new visitors to my garden today. One I was able to identify from the recent post here https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=187873 . The other- the conopid fly was sufficiently odd to be able to identify it. Interestingly these flies lay an egg in live bumble bees which carries on for about another 10days whilst being eaten from the inside
Both natural light shots with the sigma 105
Conopid fly- Sicus ferrugineus

but I was amazed by that folded under abdomen
