Couple of new bugs make a visit

Had two new visitors to my garden today. One I was able to identify from the recent post here https://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthre​ad.php?t=187873 . The other- the conopid fly was sufficiently odd to be able to identify it. Interestingly these flies lay an egg in live bumble bees which carries on for about another 10days whilst being eaten from the inside

Nice shots, that wosits name Conopid fly is some weird looking critter never seen one of those before, the Admiral didn't make it unfortunately.

Omri think I got too excited with the second bug- most of the shots had camera shake but I was amazed by that folded under abdomen

I spotted one of the bees the other day but the shots were not sharp, they have great eyes. Would be good to get the MP-E on.

RM- had the ID confirmed on the Dipterainfo site. Certainly can't tell from the pics in the British insects book but an internet search on the above showed identical bugs
