I love the way the shots are both candid but formal all at once, I think you did a wonderful job making the whole piece warm, including the backgrounds. My eye is distracted by the guy in the background with the camera in the first shot.

Were all shots at 400? It looks like the lighting varied in different spots in the room.

Yes, all shots were taken at ISO 400. The party was actually at their local clubhouse. Some of these pictures were taken in different rooms and also in the hallways, so yes the lighting varied quite a bit.

I agree with you about the guy in the background. I'm sure he took a lovely picture of their backsides. :rolleyes:

they are lovely shots to have. the lighting is great
all the family will love the one of her dancing with grandpa especially
she looks a real lady, not so much 16 anymore

Welcome back!! Great shots and thanks for explaining the lighting. I will have to give that a try. It works outdoors so it should work indoors if the whitel balance can handle it on my A95.

Very nice stuff, as usual. The lighting is quite nice and the framing excellent. I'm sure they will be very pleased with the results. She looks like quite the young lady.
