I was at a wedding earlier today as a guest and had the flash misfire on one shot. My wife is working on a scrapbook if the wedding for the Bride and Groom and really wants a picture of the bride walking into the church in a particular orientation. Wouldn't yah know it, this is the one where the flash did go.

My PP skills could use some work so I am looking for some advice on how to make this come out as good as possible. Image was shot in RAW, therefore I have placed a link to the original.

To my surprise, there's actually an image there. The original looks like it was spot metered on the stain glassed window!

This retouch in Photoshop uses several screen overloays followed by a lot of twiddling with noise reduction and color balancing. Nothing I'm proud of - but at least the subjects are possibly recognizable.

(couldn't download the original)

Link doesn't work for me either. Nice job, Woody.

Thanks for the attempt. Definitely looks better than the original dark blob. I just checked the original file and for some reason the size on the remote server is now 0. Strange, I will have to see if I can fix that.
