I got the Elinchrom D-lite2's around one week back - this is the second attempt at using them with my more-than-cheeky nephew and his mom and pop.

No CC done at all (aside from B&W shots with desaturation presets), just a little cropping on certain shots. Would appreciate some C&C please.

PS - the little monkey is bloody hard to shoot - just won't sit still for long enough!

Actually they look good. I am not seeing any shadows and thats a good thing.
4th shot of the lil boy needs more contrast added its the B & W one.
What lighting were you using?

Thanks - I was using the Elinchroms DLite2's - released around May or so this year. A set of two with softboxes and multivoltage to boot.

As far as the 4th shot goes, I was actually wanting to make it brighter - a lil more fashion model like - I guess it doesn't work?

I think its bright enough just boost only the contrast see what happens with it I think that will make a wonderful difference in that picture.

You've got everything working great. I'm not a fan of white BG's, but thats just my taste. Iwould love to see some with a darker BG and hairlight. Good job !!

hehehe I went over with my black and white bg's - it was hard enough getting these so I never had a chance to trial run the black yet (still in its cellophane wrap) so one day I will - maybe next weekend God willing!

As far as the hair light - not enough cash to get another light but I plan on expanding at one point - maybe even setting up a proper studio one day. I guess I could try getting a mirror and bouncing it off there huh? Only thing is I would need a stand for that too and right now the money in my pocket aint a lot, so twill have to wait.

Thanks for the comments so far!
