Nice stuff Tina,
Great colours and framing...these are excellent.
I would try and 'unsharp mask' the centres to make them really pop out at the viewer...You might also want to try focus stacking to get all the stamen in focus (see shot 3)...#2 looks like it's got pecans in the middle of it...
If you're just learning, you're doing really well...look forward to seeing more flower macros. :) :)
Check out my Flickr site for some examples.

mooksool, love your photos. The bee one is amazing. Question.. How do u unsharp the centre (lasoo or what) and what is focus stacking? These were taken with the s2, possibly with a +2 macro filter, I honestly can't remember. I have some taken with my little panasonic, i'll post those later.

Lovely shots, all work beautifully except #2 where the lighting seems odd.

Your flower shots are always so vibrant. Great job, Tina - keep 'em coming.
I love the pattern on the petals in the third.

Tina,
The unsharp mask (USM) is a filter in the sharpen group of filters in P/shop that emphasises the contrasts between two sides of an edge (of whatever you've shot).
Select the part you want to sharpen (with the lasso or magic wand) - then go to filter/sharpen/unsharp mask and fool around with the amounts (don't overdo it).
To focus stack take a series of shots of your subject...one focussing on the very front...then mid shots then shots focussing on the very back of your subject matter...When you overlay these, the different depths of field give you the whole image in perfect clarity...obviously use a tripod for stability and for more info do a search in this forum for focus stacking (before googling it)...the macro insect guys and gals have this down to a tee (check out racketman's and Lord V's shots - they're amazing).:) Look forward to the results of your experimentation.
