Not as set up as most of the examples here... but one from a little show i went to in the UK last weekend.

Aren't shows are a nightmare... they park so close together... :(

Canon 5D MarkII, 40D, 350D, EOS100, G10. Canon 24-105 F4 L, 85mm, 400mm F5.6, 50mm F1.8, 18-55mm, Sigma 10-20, 100-300mm, Canon 28-105 F3.5-F4.5, Kenko x1.4, Tubes and a bunch of Elinchrom Lights, flashes, reflectors and triggers.

Here is a tone mapped HDR I did a little bit ago of my EVO :) I generally don't use HDR for automotive, but I could NOT get the sky to expose right with the foreground of front bumper

And this is NOT HDR, because I some how lucked out on the sky exposing amazing :)

ok just did one more..there are done just with single RAWs so I know they aren't proper but I think they look pretty cool

Yea I know the cars them selves are a little on the underexposed side ... .... all shots are made with 3 shot sequence

Thanks that kind of what I was going for. I did want to make myself a new background though so that I wanted to push a bit further. This is what I came up with. the full size is 1920x1200

Thanks again, no mirror lock or anything for me.
Mine were all just RAW shots taken like notmal at a car meet the HDR'd from the single RAW in photomatix Pro. Had no intention of tone mapping when they were taken.
