This little chap I spotted as he moved just a tiny fraction as I walked past. He was thereafter subjected to about 130 shots with flash and a few with natural day light but they were unfortunately binned immediately as they were spectactularly unexiting.
At one stage he decided to climb deeper into the hawthorn (probably thoroughly fed up with the flashes) but as I was not quite willing to let him go, I gently cut the branch he was sitting on and repositioned him on the white/pink flowers for a different background
Googling it I think it is a Acanthosoma haemorrhoidale but am happy to be corrected on that.
