did my flash cause the odd colored orbs in my shot?

hmm... would dirty water cause red and gree spots? here is a 100% crop

I had a similar effect that was caused by my macro twin light when I was trying to shoot through water the other day so it might be possible that those were caused by a flash. Can you duplicate the shot with natural light as a test?

I'll try tomorrow when it quits raining.... this was taken outside my apartment from water draining off the roof into standing water after it had been raining. however, the break in the rain did not last long. It has been raining fairly hard all afternoon, and is still raining.
