Cecil, that is great advice. I can see where it can hurt and help. I shot a parade, I just kept shooting so I wouldn't miss anything and reviewed them at home. Then I shot in the studio and had to look to see my exposure. When its aweful, I delete it. I should try to become more confident in my shooting, but truth is, I am making this up as I go along, so I do need to review occasionally. Meh, I guess lesson here is "don't get caught chimping." haha.

I honestly don't know . . . I, too, do continuous file numbering. I format my cards first thing when I stick them into the cameras, but with both my 20D and XT, it sticks new photos in empty spots . . . ???

I did have one case where a couple of years ago where I had deleted some files on the CF card between shoots. When I had begain shooting again it created the same file name, but different contents. Ever since then I never deleted photos on the card, only when I finished downloading them on to the computer.
