I absolutely love these cave shots, They'd make an amazing background/print.

Thanks Mike. Do you think the white area in the ground (1st picture) creates a distraction and has to be toned down? I sometimes feel like it, but again feel this is okay.

Wow, these are beautiful shots chakras.

Personally, I think would be nice to see a little more detail in the lit up portion of the ground.
But, both of these are great work. I especially love the shadow-play on the rocks.

The air must have been awfully dusty for the beam of sunshine to show up like it did, but the rest of the image is tack razor sharp, so the beams must have been added in Photoshop.

Thanks for your comments zembu. Let me figure out how to do that. Maybe burning a bit will help?

You are right about the dust - wrong about photoshop. the dust was thrown towards the beam to make it prominent, but the rest of the canyon was *not so dusty*. By *not so dusty* I mean I ended up with only 9 dust spots on my lens which I did not see until I downloaded the photos. These photos are just pp'ed for levels.

Great job with the shots. I would crop the bottom of the first one a bit so that the eye isn't drawn as much towards the white spot at the bottom.

Thanks stacie. Now why didn't that occur to me? That is a much easier way to fix it. :)

nice idea with the dust! its a shame that any good ideas get automatically put as photoshopped!! Lovely shots.

Benji - be more polite!

Lovely pics, great idea! I like them both. I dont think anything can take the attention away from the huge light-sabre!! :)

Matt, Will: Thanks for your comments. Actually the idea of throwing dust to make the beams prominent is not unique - it is traditional :). That is the only way to get the beams in its full glory.

I think the light beams are too strong and end up bisecting the shot into half for me.
Technically, I think it's very good, but I've seen so many of these canyon shotsthat are shot from this angle that now I just gloss over them. Perhaps another vantage point maybe more dramatic.

they are fantastic shots! but I agree that the white area on the first image needs to be toned down a little bit.
