And the guy with his P&S probably owns the camera with the large L glass behind him. Guess he should have charged his batteries!

Check out the 4th "L" from the left, at the bottom of the photo. It looks to me like a 70-200 f4L. Compared to all the other monster "L" glass, who would ever think you could possibly feel inadequate using such a lens?

Have Fun,

Rick

It's not a 70-200. I think it's a 200 f1.8? The 70-200 would be tiny in comparison to all these. This lens looks big on the body which is probably a 1d of some description.

The guy with the tiny P&S among all those DSLRs and huge lenses is pretty funny actually. That thing probably has like 50x zoom or something. lol

Yeah, I noticed the large inclination toward L glass at the world cup...;) Guess that says something about pro photographers and their choices... So, what do you think was the predominant lens? 300mm 2.8? Maybe a 1.4x TC in the bag?

looks like the 400 2.8 wins this round, followed by 300 2.8, then 600/500 (hard to tell), 400DO, nikon/sigma lenses, 70-200 f4, and a $200 p&s...

conservative estimate of the value of just the lenses in this picture, $200000. i'm suprised the p&s guy has a green press jacket though... maybe i should seek press pass to random events in NYC.. i'll take my sister's SD450 just in case that helps ;)

I don't hate macs or OSX, I hate people and statements that portray them as better than anything else. Macs are A solution, not THE solution. Get a good desktop i7 with Windows 7 and come tell me that sucks for photo or video editing.

That is kinda funny :D.

Fritz, I'd say you covered around the first 7 people :P My guess in total worth would be near $250, 000.
