looks like a male Emperor Dragonfly, great capture. They are tough to anticipate with their erratic flight - was it hovering?

@Racketman, it's not an emperor. Emperors have a green thorax and are not as bright blue as this one. This is a Southern European species I think, which is why I want to move to Spain. :D

nice shot, It's cool to see the legs tucked in behind the head and under the body. I wondered where they put them while they were flying, thanks for sharing.
