They don't seem to care too much. I can get into motorsports/V8 supercars, crickets matches etc with 120-300 Sigma no probs.. So those big lens, that you can easily take someone out with, aren't dangerous but because its a pole, its dangerous. Yeah, they do that at Dodgers stadium too. Lens fine, monopod not. Weird logic. I had only had the 20D and Sigma 70-300 for around 2 weeks. I was brand new to SLR photography.. Kicked up a stink after they said to go back to my car, 2km away due to 40,000 people all parking nearby. Finally they allowed me to keep it in the security office, but still unable to go inside the gates with it.
