Yay! Taken with my Sigma and my reversed lens:

Speaking of my Sigma, I finally broke down and bought (dun dun dunnnnnnnn) and actual macro lens. I ended up buying the Canon 100mm macro USM lens from one of our fellow POTN-ers Scunner. So, unfortunately, my Sigma will be downgraded to merely a telephoto lens, as I believe it's macro days are over. However, there are still a few days left until the lens comes, so it isn't dead yet!

And now for the rest of the pics.

Hey you! Quit eating my leaf:

Who says there are DOF issues with reversing a lens? I got plenty of it, see ;):

Not a great shot, but I like how you can see his internal structures:

Anyways, thanks for looking, and soon I should have some real, true macros. I can't wait!

detail on the ant is impressive and good to get it doing something - stripping a leaf. Canon 100 was a good choice, hope it arrives safely.

Very nice series, #1 is awesome - very sharp, very good composition. The colours and bokeh compliment the fly well as well.

Congrats on the new lens!

I'm loving the first one, such incredible detail on the fly's eyes.

Thanks! I've been getting a little better at my reversed-lens techniques. I still can't wait for the new lens though. The samples from it just look so sharp! Should be here by Tuesday or so.

great series...I agree with Brian.... you're not gonna get much better quality than number 1..... you will find the ease of use liberating tho....
