K now i just got into the photgraphy thing i have always loved to take pitures and such. I will be starting my classes this upcooming school year and i was wondering what kind of camra i should get. I dont want somthing to to big since i am starting and getting into it. So i wanted to know how much a decent set up would cost me do i just need a camra to begin or do i need alot more things?

...oops that not a Canon.
I'm sure your instructor would have a camera that s/he would recommend.

It all depends on what you like to shoot and what you class will require out of you. If you can contact your school or any instructors to ask that might help. Read around these forums and see what people shoot with different cameras. That's what I did. I was thinking the Rebel XT but when I saw most sports/automotive photographers here using 20D & 30D's that made a difference when I saw a 20D at a good price.
I went to a school that had a photography program, although I did film production program. I saw they had in their cage about two dozen school cameras (Canon & Olympus) for students to use. So maybe you don't need to decide util you get there and get a better feel on it.

What country are you in and what school are you going to?
