70-200mm f/2.8L IS -1 week ago, lovin it but, there is a slight learning curve for me with this lens. Starting to get pictures sharp as a tack. Got a 1.4xII extender yesterday to go with it.

Buy the best Lens and never buy again!

Quite rightly so, what a lens it is! 20D,400D, A2, G7, Powershot A40, 550EX Flash, 70-200 2.8L, 28-105 USM, 28-135 IS USM, 50mm 1.4 USM, 18-55(kit) BGE2, Expodisc, Manfrotto 141RC tripod, Manfrotto 679B monopod, A stack of Sandisk CF cards, many Lowepro bags and an Extremely limited knowledge of taking good photographs.

Wow, looking at this thread, canon have made a crap load of money already from the people who have replied to this thread. So now a question to you fellow 70-200 users, do you ever get the feeling that you attract so much attention to yourself when shooting with the 70-200? Especially the f2.8 with the hood on? I can't believe the looks i get and the comments i get once i put that thing on the camera, its bad enough shooting with the 24-70 and hood 90% of the time, once you put its big brother in... omg its another story. One hour of first use, and I already got looks, and one middle aged lady wanted to look through the viewfinder because the "white" colored lens caught her attention.
