I ordered the 70-200 L f2.8 IS lens from my local supplier in late May.
Fearful that due to the scarcity it would'nt arrive in time for the TT Races, I visited Manchester to look at the 30-300 equivalent.
Bought not only the 28-300 IS lens, but the 5D test camera too, as i was so impressed.
And you've guessed it, the 70-200 arrived only a few days later .... it was so good, i just had to have it.

I now have a 28-300 which has shot maybe 400 pics which i may be willing to exchange for a 400 or 500 fixed telephoto IS lens.

cheers for now, d

The f/2.8 IS version is getting my consideration - might have to let loose the tack sharp f/4 in the future.

I got mine last night about 3 in the morning...

UPS delivered it to my bed.

Oops!

Guess that would be me dreaming.

Still contemplating my next lens move, though.
