very, very excellent shot. Seems to capture the whole story behind being a firefighter without the chliche of actually seeing them in action. Nice eye-work to see that shot in the middle of lull in the action.

this picture tells quite a story. They look exhausted sitting amoungst the fire hoses and the smoke really adds to the theme. Nice work

Thanks for the comments.
I like the way the fence and smoke form a natural vignette for the shot.

These guys work HARD. This was about 1 1/2 hours into the fight, temp around 100, another company came to relieve them. Rather than walk over to the area where the Red Cross was serving drinks, they just sat/dropped where they were.
