I just shot this. I was out trying to make a feeble attempt at water drops on flowers (trying for the LordV type), but that didn't work out so well.

Anyway I got a mosquito bite on my neck and as I was looking around I saw this little guy just hanging out resting after what appears to have been a nice dinner.

BTW - this shot is heavily cropped. I don't usually do that so hopefully it works out OK.

Thanks,
Travis

I've heard of feeding the talent on all-day shoots in the studio, but this is taking it to the extreme!

Thanks guys, I thought it was pretty neat. Thank goodness the bite didn't itch too bad.

you must have steady hands or you used a tripod - i would struggle to get that detail with the 150 hand held.

Yep, unfortunately that is my blood in there. Oh well, happens all the time. I am just glad that I was able to snap a shot of this one instead of just swapping it.

This was shot on a tripod, but only because I was trying to get the water droplet pics. I could have shot this hand held (I think). Normally I shoot handheld and use high speed sync on the flash to boost the shutter speed.

Thanks for the nice comments,
Travis

Hope you squished it after taking the shot, that blood is used to fertilize eggs.
