Phelps Mill is a flour mill built in the 1880’s to serve west central Minnesota. It continued operations as a flour mill until about 1930. Friends of the old mill took on the task of preserving it for its historical value, and Otter Tail county developed the land around the mill as a public park.
I was impressed by how high-tech flour milling was in the 1880's. Not with integrated circuts, but with water powered, belt driven mechanical equipment.
