Got my 100mm Canon Macro lens yesterday, these are my first attempts, well first attempts that I thought were good enough to post...

Both the flower and chilli fruit are about 1.5cm across, the fruit being slightly smaller.

I like them. The saturation seems low though. Also, they are probably a tad unexposed.

And, if you want really nit-picky stuff, the top flower has some petals covered up which is sort of distracting.

However, I'm sorry your post hasn't recieved any replies in a week. It must have slipped through the cracks. Good shots, and keep shooting!

Wow, AirBronto took the words right out of my mouth. I love the flower but the leaves are a little distracting and it seems a little dark. I have never seen a purple chili before, that is cool!

Thanks! it's a tri-colour varigata (sp?) the leaves are looking a little the worse for wear now.

I agree about the exposure, I tend to lean to the darker side - most of my photos seem to get the same comment :-) I'll have to add some compensation or do it in post processing or something.
