What brand would you recommend if any, are some better than others, and I noticed some say pro shot 100x speed, and it says it processes faster, is it true, worth the extra $?

I use Sandisk Ultra II cards. They work well and have been reliable.

ive tried the search and get a whole lot of stuff that is not worth spending my time on. Does any one know what the write speed is on an XT? I tried the Canon website and didnt find anything there, and tried the Rob link above and didnt quite understand all of it. More help please
