As my pond excels in NOT attracting damsels and dragons flies ???, I have given in and have focus stacked a water lilly. Not really my thing but hey.... why not!

How old is the pond?- takes a few years to get damsels and dragons flying around- also helps if there are some ponds nearby.

It also helps if the pond is not full of fish, which can be partial to the odd damsel/dragon nymph. Whether or not you keep fish, have plenty of reed cover where the nymphs can hide.

Mine doesn't have any damsels or dragonflies yet, either, but seems to be attracting bees from all over, and some mud-dauber wasps, too. Take what you can get, I guess. In any case, your focus-stacked lilies are quite nice!

Thanks for the replies everyone, much appreciated as usual!

The pond is an established one (approx 10 years) but is in the city centre which limits any nearby water.

The fish may be responsible up to a limit for the lack of damsels and dragons as there is no reed to hide behind. I'll need to have a look at that.
