Just got an E-mail asking me to do some architectural photos. Been google'ing for contracts but only finding wedding contracts. Anyone know of a place to find a contract that I can use for ideas?? Still working out the terms. Found out quick that contracts are needed. Almost did not get paid from a shoot I just did for a production company.

THANKS,
Richard

Don't think 'type of shot' but think 'end use'. For publication, for circulars, etc.

Good point Wilt...I was not thinking 'end shot' i was thinking shots in general. So, I would probably do better with a corporate contract??

Not sure what you mean by 'corporate contract'. You may want to break things down...a contract for a shoot to produce a certain number of photos with assumptions about your time spent at site, travel costs, fees for special equipment rentals, etc. Then separately, another contract spelling out end use(s) and quantities of uses of said photos (printed sales brochure & number of copies being printed, website use, advertising media, TV usage, etc.
Keep in mind that architecture is typically lower return (the architects are not deep pockets outfits like Fortune 1000 companies!) In the future you could create yet another contract for a new end use of the same photo for the same company.

I meant Commerical contract.

Newsletter photography $ photo credit in category

single use $ one time license 1/2 day $ full day $

2 year unlimited use $ license for 2 years 1/2 day $ full day $

expense + travel

kinda what I am looking at.

Personally I would still break down their expense into 'what it costs to acquire the images' and 'what it costs to use an image for a certain purpose'. Then you use the opportunity to sell them on how they can use any of the images taken for 'just a little bit more than what it cost you for the use of the first image'
