My worst pic and smallest UFO

Only spotted this when I was RAW processing a set of flower shots for a focus stack. The flower is a Hebe bloom with a max petal width of about 2mm so I reckon the "fly" is less than 1mm long. Actually it's not really a UFO but a PIFO (possibly identified flying object) - tentatively identified as a "small parasitic wasp" by the guys on diptera info.
Apologies for the poor shot Will have to try and take a pic of one of these on purpose if I can see them

It is a slightly missed focus, focus slightly further back than the insect. Definately a UFO though,

That's the problems with macros, such a small aperture is need for a larger DOF, but then shutter speeds are reduced, and dust spots become visible.

I do enjoy looking at your super macros, keep them coming.

Much simpler than that Omri- I was not focusing on it at all- was focusing on a bit of flower outside of this crop
