Thanks guys. Incidently this little guy got quite aggressive with my attention after I took this shot, lifting its abdomen up as far as it could to make itself look bigger and turning to face me. I DID notice Mrs Ruddy about 6 feet further up the bank, well away from the water's edge and looking coy, so maybe that was the reason. I snapped her as well, and although reasonably sharp, the shot was rather nondescript which is why I didn't post it.
