Awesome series I love #3 for the detail. The bright BG of #1 is a welcomed change. It makes the pic unique.

edit: What aperature did you use for #3? What is its magnification?

Thanks Omri- was lucky with this, it sat on one of my cane perches (that I put out for them) near my kitchen window, so was able to use the kitchen window frame as a clean background.
Forgot to mention #3 is a focus stack of 2 images taken between 1:1 and 1.5:1 at my normal F11- was trying to get some detail of the neck.

Love the magnification you managed to get, you took them with the mpe-65 right?

Yes I was using an MPE-65 apart from pic#1 (105mm Ex) but not at high magnification (somehere around 1:1 to 1.5:1) so you could get shots like these with a normal macro lens and perhaps a set of extension tubes.
