I am getting ready for a six night backpack trip and want to make sure all of my camera (RebelXT) batteries are up to snuff. I recharged a few of them two or three weeks ago and have not used them. Is it okay to throw them on the charger again before I leave or will they be okay after sitting around for a few weeks with no use? I don't want to run out of battery power while in the back country!

Thanks,

Shaun

Definately top them off before you go. The batteries will slowly discharge as they sit, probably haven't lost very much over a couple of weeks, but if you're going backpacking you want every bit of juice you can get. Also, topping them off won't hurt them either.

Thanks!! I was afraid I would hurt them by topping off.

I find my memory decreases much more rapidly than my battery juice

but then I have also lost my battery charger, so I'm not much of one to talk (I can't use my camera for the next week :o)
