I took these last weekend at North Queensferry in an attempt to get some nice sunset photos. I was a bit late for the sunset, but the sky gave up some interesting imagery none the less, as some rain clouds moved in from the west. C&C most appreciated!

Both shots show some excellent cloud formations, but I have to agree with Dmitri, the first one of the bridge is the better of the two.

The first is awesome, I take it you did a little photoshoppery to really bring out the clouds? :)

Nice captures. There's some great weather planned for the UK this week, I'm sure you'll be out to capture one.

Thanks for the comments Dimitri, number 1 is my favourite too, it's a shame my lens was not wide enough to be able to get the whole bridge in!

Thanks Strax, I appreciate the feedback.

Thanks for the kind comments Mint_Sauce. As far as post processing goes, I added quite a bit of shadow contrast in RawShooter to bring out the depth in the layers of the cloud. I also produced two versions of the image from RSE, one processed for the foreground and one processed for the sky and then combined them using The Gimp.

Thanks R Hardman, it definitely looks like the first shot is the favourite out of the two! :)

Thanks Andydajo, we're pretty warm up this way at the moment and it looks like the week is only going to get warmer! Time to break out the t-shirts and shorts me thinks! :D

First one for me, moody broody sky well taken, if you could clone that daft Yaris in the second, it would work better :)

Thanks for the kind comments Trevor, The Fritz and Ian!

Ian it's funny you should mention the daft Yaris! I tried cropping it out but it made the photo an odd shape which just didn't look right (and also cropped out an interesting piece of sky). I think I really should have panned left and took in more of the end of the bridge but such is life! One lives and learns hey! :D
