I used a EWA-Marine waterproof housing (which will work for the G3). They retail for around $160-170 at B&H Photo. I was able to take some cool pictures, but I was a little disappionted that I could not see thru the viewfinder or even the LCD screen. My tactics were basically having to point the camera at what I wanted to take a picture of and hope that it was captured. I am a novice at underwater photography though, maybe one of the experts here will chime in. BTW, I may be selling my slightly used EWA-Marine housing since it looks like I will be upgrading to an S3 IS (it is impossible to find a G-series anymore Paul

Plus I'd love to take a movie or two underwater as well. Crissa

I definitly experienced the same problems as you. kinda makes it pointless in my opinion. i didnt even bother to try to take shots, i took it strait back in the house. glorified ziplock bag. also the whole not being able to focus thing was wierd, and the controls were horribly hard to use underwater. i gotta say i wouldnt reccomend it to anyone. i mean if its just for simple stuff then fine, but you might just be better off buying a disposible at a drug store. Agree with the others, hard to see and use any controls. Then there is the shutter lag. Trying to get pictures of fish moving was near impossible. Plus the bag wants to float and of course, if there are any waves it all just adds to the motion. Good thing it was digital and I could delete 98% of the pictures. Those that were ok, are only ok because the rest were really bad! Your standards drop when nothing is coming out!!!! Thanks, Paul

I would really like to know if the low visibility of the LCD screen is a function of the bag or the quality of reflected light underwater. Paul

Thanks, Paul
