So the marketing department of the company that I work for (as a computer programmer, not a photographer) knew about my side business and asked me to do a shoot for them on Friday. They were in a bind and need to get the new handbook they are creating to press by the end of next week. The handbook is what is mailed out to all new customers. They needed something shot for the front cover and came to me. We did the shoot this morning. I actually took time off of work, to do the shoot for work.... kinda wierd, but hey... The photos came out great and they were VERY pleased! They're now talking about coming up with a more permanent arrangement to have me do their shoots for them!

Since I'm at work now (programming, not photographing... lol), I don't really have the time to process the RAW files yet. I shot RAW and small JPG, so to show them what shots they got, I just gave them the JPGs. So I'll try to post some shots in the People section when I get home tonight... I just wanted to drop a line here and share my excitement with everyone! :D:D:D

It was a "lifestyles" shot. Basically we took a mother (the sister of another person that works in marketing), her two children and their dog down to the park by the river. We did "candid" style shots of them walking while holding hands in the park and by the river. They wanted the family to be on the front cover of the handbook, but the shot to continue wrapping around to the back. So I took landscape shots with the family in the right half of the photo. We did some where they were on the left also, but we'll flip those images so they're on the right side (we made sure no one had writing on their shirts....).
