Hi all,

After seeing a recent poll on what lenses people are using to macro it got me thinking about what people are using to light their shots. I have only recently bought my first dedicated macro lense but I am already struggling to get enough shutter speed at F11 or higher. Please choose from the following:

1. Natural light only
2. Canon Macrolite MR-14EX
3. Canon Macro Twin Lite MT-24EX
4. Canon Speedlite 580EX / 430EX
5. Built in flash

PS this is my first attempt at a poll so not sure if this will work!

I use a Canon MR-14EX, natural light is too restricting on shutter speed.

you would need to add 'other make of flash' for a more realistic poll.

"Raw" is not an acronym, abbreviation, nor a proper noun; thus, it should not be in capital letters.

I use natural light, Mt 24 Ex, and 550Ex with a softbox, in that order.

I light mine with a Sigma EF-430. It's only E-TTL (no E-TTLII) but it was $40 ;):
