Wow... 10 pictures in one day. Sorry, I guess I'm just excited ;).

1. My best katydid so far. I actually have it as my background, and let me just say it looks stunning at 1680x1050 widescreen.

Here is one more of the crab spider. He just poses so nicely...:

And finally, another fly. The compound eyes really come into focus at f/9, but this one was taken at f/11. Go figure:

Thanks again!

Damn, Chris! You've only had the lens a few hours, and you're already producing some fantastic shots! It's so much better in your hands than in mine!

When I've got more time on my hands, I may just have to buy the 100 again, and bug you for some macro tips. :)

(PS. Sorry about the really bad pun... )

Very nice shots! The Katydid shot is my favorite. It's very sharp :)

you used the tubes for this one?

Can you advise which you have ... I am interested in expending my equipment to get closer in.

Also did you use the Delta Flip Flash Bracket? I created my own for another camera which prduced some good results.

I actually did not use the tubes for these shots. I did use the Delta Flip Flash Bracket and my Canon 100mm macro lens.

I've only had my macro lens for a day, so I haven't gotten to use it with my tubes very much. However, tubes will definitely let you get higher mag shots.
