I've just upgraded from the 350D to the 30D. I used to convert my raw files quite happily in RS Essentials but this does not support the 30D.

I tried to purchase RS Premium but this is no longer on sale due to the recent Acquisition by Adobe. I've had a little play with the Raw converter that came on the CD with the camera but I'm not getting on very well with it.

Can anyone suggest a good RC package?

Adobe/Pixmantec have committed to providing an update to RSE for the 30D. The email that I recieved didn't provide a timeline for doing this.

There are lots of RAW converters out there but not many are free. Of those I don't know how many have added the 30D to their support list yet. This website (external link) has a pretty comprehensive list of software available, free and for sale.

My life is like one big RAW file....way too much post processing needed.

Didn't RS add 30D support for the RSE version too? I don't know, but I'd check to be sure that you have the upgraded version of RSE if one exists?

As Sheldon says, as a one-off concession, Adobe have said they'll issue an update to RSE to support the 30D, but there's no time frame given.
