Just got my rebel xt, what size cf card should I get?

lol i'm going in June and last time I was there around the same time it didn't rain a single drop!! :) Unheard of!

I have no laptop and at this point an ext hd is probably not an option. lol I have one already without the cf slot. Is there something I could buy to make use of the one I already own?

Sandisk or Lexar - 1 gig minimum. I don't like using huge cards as I think you're putting all your eggs in one basket that way.

I have both the Sandisk Ultra II and the Kingston (both 2gb). I have been please with both of them.

I went to Scotland last year for 3 weeks with a 1Gb and 2- 512 Sandisk cards, because I had just got the camera and $'s were tight I used the local photo stores and had them down load the cards to CD's. In the larger cities, Edinburgh and Glascow I found a lot of places so I was able to shop around. In the smaller towns I even found that there was a shop that was able to do the job. Not the best solution but it worked for me.
