This is a video of a fly blowing a bubble - the quality isent very good i`m afraid but it was indoors and in the semi-dark, but if you havent seen this behaviour before its mildy interesting, its been suggested before that Flys blow bubbles in the sunlight - perhaps this dispels that myth ?.

Google upsized my video also which dident help with the quality, although it was poor to start with :( ...

Neat shot- love the vid,
Think the heat regulation theory has gone out the window, current best guesses or maybe a mixture of the two
1. Concentration of stomach contents.
2. backflushing the tubes to clean them- I watched a beefly do this and that seemed to be associated with cleaning.

It could have been trying to cool off yes as he was shaking it around quite vigourously at one point
