I am new to this forum and photography. I just bought a rebel xt and would like to learn more about digital SLR photography. Any recommendations for good foundation building books or websites? I plan to shoot mostly pictures of my son and family. Thanks, Samantha

Start with "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson, carry your new camera with you all the time and take lots of pictures. Most of all enjoy it!

Bryan Petersen also has a newer book out called Understanding Digital Photography. It's worth a read as well.

Another vote for "Understanding Exposure" He also has a book "Learning to See Creativley" which is also good.
