I don't know the name of it but it is a moth that flies and acts just exactly like a hummingbird. It is just smaller. There is more than one variety but I don't know anymore than that. Canon 20D

As already mentioned, they look like hummingbirds because of the way they hover while nectaring with the longest proboscis I've ever seen. I've seen them several times but never been lucky enough to capture an image of one so I am very jealous of your fine shot. What part of the world did you shoot those, Spatz? The USA?
