Yes, i have noticed that. It was dark in the room and I could only use f/1.4 thus the shallow DOF. If it was brighter, it would've been better. Thank you for your comment.

I think that with a solid background like this... you almost have to get the whole subject in sharp focus for the shot to work. The cat is gorgeous.. one of my favorite breeds is the bengal. You composed this nicely and the lighting is spot on. ~John

Thank you for all of the comments. I will improve on the DOF. I was using the 50mm at f/1.4 due to the darkness in the room. I will try again with a tripod next time. Thank you all.
