This is the 1st leafhopper i have caught on camera, i wondered why i hadent seen many but upon watching this for a while i noticed that it always managed to goto the other side of the plant stem and out of view, but i managed to trick it ;) ...

Front of his face looks like it is all eyes!

From memory i would say he/she was around 8mm - as for the eyes they seem to be one all-round eye and i couldent see any seperation at all , it looked like it was wearing Judge Dredds helmut to me :) ...

I believe the eye is the green bit with the black spots. The rest is just a really big 'nose' (forgive me - I forget the technical term). Compare it to a cicada, you'll see what I mean...

Yes that's it!. Exactly what I was thinking - but the old brain couldn't manage to dredge up the name Judge Dredd!
