Hoverfly on a passionflower (attempt 2)

Hi all,

I had another go at capturing these hoverflies on the passionflowers in my garden, i decided to use a tripod this time. I'm still not stopping down enough though, this was f8! I need to start learning from my mistakes. Also, it looks a bit flat. Do you think a proper flash would help? I am planning on getting a 580ex, this shot was with built in flash. C&C welcome!

The colors on this one are great!

A small gripe: It looks like the focus is on his back instead of his head. I know he's facing away from you and that makes it a lot harder.

Great shot still. I don't really mind the flatness, but I see what you mean.
