I've wanted to explore the light early in the morning along the lakefront for awhile now. The main problem is the sun rises around 5:15am in Chicago in the summer. This means waking up much earlier to make it to the lakefront for sunrise. I made it.

It's incredibly peaceful there that early in the morning. There were very few people. I watched this man with a metal detector as he scoured the beach. After a few minutes, he decided to sit down. It was then that I saw an opportunity.

Thanks for letting me know.

I fixed the link so hopefully it's showing up now. The odd thing is that I could see it. Go figure....

No one else had the heart to tell me?

I like the serenity and tranquility of the shot. I suggest cleaning your sensor since I see two black spots smack in the middle of it, unless it is my eyes or the monitor, anyone else see these.

Interesting shot and colors, but the four things in the water take away from the capture.

I see them as well. Needs to clean either the lens or the sensor.

Thanks for the input. I thought about cloning out the objects but wasn't sure. The objects in the sky are actually birds. I see what you mean, though, about giving the appearance of a dusty sensor.
