USAF Thunderbirds - Caspar Wyoming

What amazing planes and pilots! I had a ball. Shame it was 105 degrees before you factored in the reflected heat from tarmac.

Amazing pictures. How did you expose so well with a bright sky and not blow it out?

105 degrees, in Wyoming? I didn't know it got that hot there.

I started off using spot figuring I wanted the planes to be exposed correctly, but was getting blown out skies so then I tried centre weighted average. Worked surprisingly well. Sun was behind me for the majority of the shots as well so that helped a great deal.

I tell you the heat was ridiculous and I'm Australian so I'm used to it. I ended up leaving early because I was starting to feel unwell. They had a couple of F-15s, a couple of F-18s and a couple of MiGs (15 and 17) that I'd have loved to see but I just couldn't take it!
