I didn't know where else to post this, so move it if need be.

My friend picked up this OLD Polaroid camera, and on it it says
automatic
320
Land Camera
and then in big letters POLAROID

I'm wondering, is this camera worth any big bucks? Is it good to keep around? Or is it just something cool to keep around? Thanks!

They aren't that old. I remember having one a a child, and I'm not over the hill quite yet. I'd just keep it as a collectible, as I doubt that it's worth much.

I bought a Kodak plastic brown camera from a Garage Sale for 2 bucks. It must be the first Plastic Camera they made from the 50's. Its so basic. I am sure it must be worth $2.25 :)

Most cameras are not worth really anything even if they work, they're collectible sure but value? I got a awesome Rollei 35mm camera for $3.00 with 50mm 1.8 lens on eBay they're still not worth that much, I actually bought it for the lens to do that supermacro thing with my powershot. I have a bunch of old cameras that I've picked up at Garage Sales, basically just for a decoration. I love the old Black and Steel cameras.

I have a mint condition Kodak Bantam with the original box and instructions from the 1940's. My dad used it to photograph boot camp when he was in the war. And it's only worth about 30 bucks.

The Ploaroid Land Cameras were pretty common at garage sales in the 1970's, when peopel finally realized they weren't worth keeping any longer. I bought one for $4 back then, and then found out that an 8-pack of "film" for it was $10. I doubt you can even buy that Polaroid instant "film" anymore. I'd guess it'll be another 100 years before they get rare enough to go up in value.

Check eBay. You can find out what people are willing to pay for pratically anything by the current auctions.

Liza I have my Grandmas Zeiss Ikon she bought in London when she was there serving during the Battle of Britain. She took some awesome shots with it over there also. Even has the original instructions! It probably is not worth much either, but to me, its priceless, just like my great great great uncles photos he took in NY & IL in the 1870's-1890's!

Don't be too sure the Zeiss Ikon isn't worth too much, they've just re-released it because demand was so high for S/H ones. It's not really comparable to a plastic polaroid camera. see here (external link)

I've got a few old bellows cameras. I only paid a few bucks a piece for them; never really thought of selling them. I've seen similar ones on eBay, and they were all under ten bucks...

Nope nothing like that, this thing is old school even for WWII. It is essentially their first P&S camera, and folds out of a box like an accordian.
