Have any of you ever used Premira Albums? How would you rate them? What was your experience with them?

Thanks SDJNJ.... Yeah, they look pretty classy. I was hoping to get a sample of one, but it looks like that won't happen. So I wanted to hear what other people thought of them before I shelled out the cash to put together a "display model" for clients...

Thanks again! :D

Ijust watched teh video and went throguh the trouble of finding a retailer and putting it all in a shopping cart and still have to wait to be added so I can see the price list.

I'm curious about its archivalness, escepially anywhere that has lots of moisture or has high temperatures. I would think having something in betwen the pages would be neccessary since you aren't using a matte or anything and using the paper of your choice.

But if the price is right, it could be a good alternative for a lower budget wedding that still expects quality results

I too am interested in those albums, i like how easy they are to put together. I just am having a hard time finding a place that prints 10x10 prints.

coreypolis::
go to http://www.topflightalbums.com (external link)
They have pricing listed, and you can order without being "approved" for an account.

MPix prints 10x10, that's who I use.

I figured I would use the lustre coating from MPix for the images to help protect them.

Thanks for the link Tom. Kinda pricey

18pg album with front window, 99, + 6x 3pg inserts another 90, + mounting kit at 15.

seems like you could do better for the money

I do my own printing, so I use PremierArt Print Shield to help protect the images. I am sure that wherever you print, you can have them sprayed?

Yeah, I'm sure that would help, but I'd be more sold if there was something in between the 2.

I print myself also, using a epson 4800 and Ilfor Gallerie Smooth Pearl, which I love, but I don't know about 2 prints being stuck ontop of eachother in unknown conditions

That is a very good point, I never thought about that. Maybe SDJNJ can provide us with some insight on that potential problem.

I've had my sample album for quite some time and no problem. I also use that spray quite a bit, no problem. Here's a website that has more info:

I'm interested in using the premira system too. The video recommends Kodak endura paper; however, I have both the new Canon 13x19 photo paper pro and Ilford galerie classic pearl 13x19 for my new canon pro 9000. These seem like they would be thick enough for the use. Any comments or concerns about this plan?
