I wonder how many of these "rediculous comments" and "answers" are imagined?

Seriously, though, I live in an apartment complex, in an upper level. When I get new gear I typically test it out on my deck, and use a trash recycling sign maybe 50 yards away for sharpness tests. Kinda funny, I know, but it's convenient.

So, anyway, I'm out on my deck with a big rig on a tripod with all these bedrooms in view taking pics of a sign talking about trash recycling, but I sometimes wonder what "comments" some of my neighbors might think of making...

Probably thinking, "Close the blinds! He's trying to take a picture of me changing!!!"

HAHAHA

HAHAHA

I was once accused of acting in inappropriate ways with a girlfriend with the blinds opened -- unfortunately, it turned out to be a case of mistaken identity, because it sounded like I was having fun,,,

Outside a bar...
Guy: "What are you taking pictures of?"
Me: "This bar."
Guy: [Jaw drops]"No Sh!t?"
Guy: "I used to me a model...you can take pictures of me, dude, uh, if you want to."
Me: "..."
Guy: "I mean...not in a gay way."

ROTFLOL!

These are GREAT! I can hardly wait to get my new gear <1 Month, and see if I get some comments :)

Love that dumpster shot one, that sounds like something I would do. and I do wonder how many people quickly close the blinds whenever they see you step out on the porch :)

Slightly OT, but my cousing built a new house about 6 years ago. When they designed and built it they chose NOT to put blinds or window coverings on the large window in their master bath because the room overlooked a beautiful ravine. And while they weren't in a secluded area, the neighbor's house was about 50 feet away had no windows facing their house, so there was no chance of anyone seeing into their bathroom.

So, about 6 months after they had settled in, She gets out of the shower dries herself and stepped in front of the window to look at the ravine as she did every morning. (I guess looking at the ravine while stark naked made her feel "close to nature" or something).

Unfortunately, there on the neighbor's roof looking right at her was the neighbor who proceeded to wave and yell, "Good Morning! How are you!?"

No camera needed. He knew what he saw, and so did she. And he reminded her of it every time he saw her. My cousin moved about 2 years ago, and while it's never come up, I have often wondered if part of the reason wasn't to get away from the neighbor...

Your cousin's former neighbor was tacky in bringing up the incident whenever he meet her.

I want this thread to end. I hate it. I especially hate the fact that I didn't think of it, but that one of my shooting buddies did.;)

I'm new here and I'm thoroughly enjoying this nearly 2 year old thread (only on page 36 out of like 226 with many hours ahead of me to go). This thread should never, ever, ever die. :)

My contribution: my wife was telling her friends the other day, "I really like my husband's camera (XT), because he has the sound turned on so that it 'clicks' when you take a picture like a real camera!"

I started to explain that it's the way SLR's work, but thought better of it and silently smiled through the rest of the conversation.
