Haha, some people think that if you have a big lens, you also have a pro body. Last week I was shooting with my 400d + 100-400 at a rowing race, some guy came up to have a chat and was asking which of the 20 megapixel bodies I was using.

I got asked is my large format camera was a movie camera. I replied with a small laugh, "oh no, this is..." and pulled out my 5D mkII. They were like "but that's just a regular camera..."

I also got tagged as a "photo Jihadist" this weekend. I wonder why?

"That lens is really big, it's not one of those wide angles that's going to make my butt look big is it?" lmao

"Nice camera. My dad has one he just spent $300 on a new lens for. How much did your lens cost?"

Me: About $800(24-105)

"no not the whole camera, just the lens"

That's what I meant. $800 for the lens.

"OMG! That's crazy why?!"

Well, cause it has this red ring on the end of it... :p

"This is heavy, it must be expensive."

Hahah. It kind of reminded me of that part in Jurassic Park when the little boy picks up the night vision goggles and the goofy dude in the front seat goes, "Are those heavy?"
Little Kid: "Yeah." Goofy Dude: "Then they're expensive, put them away."

Technically not speaking about my lens but the camera itself. I don't have any big lenses yet!

I just saw that part of that movie 2 nights ago and it made me laugh. The goofy dude was the blood sucking lawyer that got eaten by the T-Rex.

LOL, but I couldn't wish that on anybody!

P.S. I'm kinda expecting a comment this evening. we're meeting with our realestate agent to look at a couple houses for the first time. I expect he might have a comment or two when he first sees the setup. LOL
