Why would you jump off a cliff and into the sea with your 24-105? Have you no respect for the lens?

That's only because she's still a girlfriend... Marry her and see how quickly her interest in your gear changes!

Funny, I thought the exact same thing...

Why does no one mention the camera body to which the lens is attached?

Why would anyone want to jump in to water with a camera body in their arms?

Alright, I'll get right on it. Check back in a few years and I'll report my findings.

You "Brownie" it.

(Now we'll see if you really know photography!)

i the box brownie's had 2 'modes' ... there's the click mode followed by the wind mode.
(my mum had one...)

oh and it was one of the first cameras you 'held out in front of you' ...

That's funny, my wife uses Av mode, and she just pointed & shoots.

heh, I just get handed the camera and told to adjust it. (note: she's not even my GF, at least not yet...)

Went to see my dentist today for a checkup. Had my 70-200 f4 and 400d with 430ex. After he noticed it:

Dentist: "Ah so you're a professional photographer?"
Me: "Not yet, I'm kinda moving up the ladder one step at a time."
Dentist: "Well that's a nice lens you've got on there. You do nature photography?"
Me: "Nah, this and that really..."
Him *laughs* "I bet the zoom could reach Scotland!"

lol.

Not really a comment but I also got quite an angry look from an elderly gentleman sitting on a bench. Everyone else on the bench/seating area also stopped and eyed my gear but this one guy kept eye contact with me for ages, with a really nasty stare.

Meh, some people cant be helped ;/

LOL I too would bet that lens could reach Scotland! the fastest would likely to hop a plane to get it there. LOL

peoples expressions when they see a lot of camera gear is indeed interesting! LOL I've seen some funny ones.

Maybe if you slap on one of those new X-ray filters. Then, checking out someone in the Highlands, you could discover the answer to the "under the kilt" question.

OK, I know I'm not the only one who is wondering, although I may be the only one who asks... But, Why did you have your camera with you at the Dentist's Office?

lol, I was wondering the same thing. I'm guilty of carrying my camera pretty much everytime I leave the house, ...but to the dentist's office? I think it'd sit in the car for that one.

I take my camera with some kind of lens with me wherever I go lol. I had basically just finished work, grabbed something to eat and drink then went straight in. Did a bit of shooting afterwards too :P

The amount of times I've missed a really good photo oppurtunity because I didnt have it with me started to annoy me so I've made it 'custom' that I have it with me all the time.

So you didn't brush your teeth before you went to the dentist?

Nah not this time. They know when I do anyway and they get a bit stressed over it so instead I just drink some water and chew some gum just before I go in. ;)
